This is the most common question when clients schedule a session: “What should we wear?”. That’s why today I’m gonna give you some tips about outfits for your photos day!
Let’s start with the essential tips ones:
- Choose colors to coordinate, not colors that match!
- Keep it simple. The simpler, the better, right?
- Don’t know what to wear? Go for neutral colors or black.
- Go for shoes you can move in and you feel comfortable, it’s always good for the prompts.
- For the ladies, here is a nice one, try to wear twirly dresses. Movement is always good for the pictures.
What color to wear for family or couples pictures? So, for families, you should go with navy, cream, tan and warm colors. Couples you can definitely go with denim, bold, boho and light colors.
But why choose those colors?
Having a photoshoot with a photographer is an investment for life! Is all about capturing special moments. Do you know when we find an old photo and we feel like that moment just came across our mind and we have a big smile? Choosing the best colors for your pictures is exactly for moments like that. It’s for you to look at the picture in the future and feel good and happy with what you are seeing.
Here is my secret as a photographer! When we are editing the pictures we use some presets to let the pics even better and every professional has their particular way to edit, it’s pretty much our signature. But, sometimes the presets can change a little bit the color of the clothes if the client is using a very strong one, like bright pink or red, and at the end of the day, the result can be a little bit different than they expected and some clothes, because they have such strong colors, can have more attention then the principal spot of the picture, you and your loved ones.
Like the presets, the seasons of the year can also change the colors of the pictures because the light is the key to everything here! That’s why neutral colors and earthy tones are always good choices. They always bring a sense of visual comfort and they are great with every light and composition.
So what do you want to see in the future when you look at the pictures that you took now? Harmony and comfort, do you want to feel happy about what you are seeing. Are you ready to book your photoshoot? Contact me to book your session!
